This legal seminar will be led by Dave McDermott.

David McDermott is one of the most aggressive and skilled trial attorneys in the Chicagoland area with over 27 years of experience successfully litigating complex criminal matters. His natural tendency to think outside the box and his ability to go into the courtroom swinging has garnered him a reputation for winning results nationwide. Dave founded and spearheads McDermott Law Group, LLC, also referred to as “Not Your Typical Attorneys”, a firm focusing on criminal defense and injury law in countless counties across multiple states. 
 
Over the past several years, Dave has turned his attention to defending people who have been forced to defend themselves. Dave has given lectures around the country and is passionate about educating people on the legal aftermath of self-defense shootings as well as practical dos and don’ts in hopes of preparing responsible firearm owners and ideally, preventing these situations from occurring in the first place. Dave has appeared on various news channels, podcasts, newspapers, (etc.) and most recently, he was invited to speak at a congressional hearing as an expert witness on the topic of self-defense. Multiple media outlets have referred to Dave as “America’s Self-Defense Attorney” as he has arguably handled more of these cases than any other attorney in the country and has never lost a self-defense shooting case.
